Selective Harmonic Elimination in a Multilevel Inverter Using Multi-Criteria Search Enhanced Firefly Algorithm

This research paper proposes the new multi-criteria search based enhanced firefly algorithm for solving selective harmonic elimination in a multilevel inverter. utilizes adaptive nature of social and cognitive components to find global optima. To see effectiveness proposed evaluation results, three phase nine level cascaded inverter is used. It compared with existing meta-heuristic algorithms namely particle swarm optimization validate its effectiveness. Crucial parameters optimization, including population size number iterations, are kept same comparison. For comparison, total distortion convergence behaviour against various modulation index values considered. Moreover, results have clearly indicated that has surpassed terms by attaining lower fitness value lesser iterations. Finally, experimental validation multi-level also performed analyzed.
